2024 Business Mentorship Network

Do you love farming but feel overwhelmed managing your farm business? Are you running a new farm or taking over the family farm and looking for business support? Young Agrarians’ Business Mentorship Network matches new and next generation farmers that are 1- 5 years in business with farm business mentors to cultivate the skills for running financially and ecologically viable farms. Mentors support you to dig into the business of farming and lay the groundwork for long-term sustainability.

Mentorship opportunities are available in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Applications are open until October 31st, 2024. Spots are limited - apply today!
MENTEES RECEIVE:

30 hours of business mentorship with an experienced farmer
Webinars on business basics, finance, marketing and more
Two profile features on the YA website and social media
Opportunities for peer networking and monthly virtual meetups

Results have been instant! Since the program's inception, Business Mentorship Network mentees have generated on average a 87% increase in revenues, a 65% increase in the volume of food grown, and a 42% increase of land in production during their year of mentorship.

Priority will be given (but not limited to) applicants who are new entrants into agriculture with 1-5 years in operation, between the ages of ages 18-35, residing in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
