Fire Bans / Restrictions

Due to the recent rains conditions have improved a Fire Restriction is now in effect for the Town of Pincher Creek, MD of Pincher Creek, Village of Cowley and the Piikiani First Nation.

Under the Fire Restriction burn permits/Notification to Burn may be issued on a one on one basis. Fire pit permits are active and new ones will be issued with pictures.

We ask people to take extra caution when working outdoors. We also remind residents that FireWorks are prohibited within the Town of Pincher Creek and the MD of Pincher Creek.

Under this Fire Restriction

ALLOWED

Propane BBQ's, and propane powered appliances are still approved for use.

- Permitted fire pits

- Debris burns under permission with a permit based on conditions.

NOT ALLOWED

FireWorks and non permitted fires are not allowed under this restriction this includes the following

- Debris Burns not permitted or approved

- FireWorks

We will continue to monitor conditions and make changes based on conditions.
