Subdivisions

Planning services for the Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 are contracted through the Oldman River Regional Services Commission (ORRSC) located in Lethbridge.

The current subdivision policies for the MD are contained within the Municipal Development Plan (MDP Subdivision Polices).

To apply to have your land subdivided, fill out the Subdivision Application Form and send it, along with the application fee, a copy of the current land title, survey sketch (or tentative plan) of the proposal and an AER Abandoned Oil Well Map, to ORRSC. Please note that you may have to retain the services of an Alberta Land Surveyor early in the process, to determine precise dimensions and property boundaries.

The MD Planner will then notify the adjoining neighbours and any other relevant parties that require notification. The Planner then prepares the subdivision information and presents this to the M.D. Subdivision Authority, who will render the final decision.

The developer is responsible to adhere to any conditions attached to the approved subdivision. The MD Planner or the Development Officer can assist with most of these conditions.
