Eco-Station Site Development

Please note the MD is aware of the misuse of the bins that occurs.

Staff is certainly as frustrated as residents when we see misuse of these bins, as it is Public Works employees who are then required to clean up after the littering. While there are surveillance cameras on-site, the MD cannot access information from license plates.

The misuse of the MD's transfer station garbage bins with waste like construction and demolition materials, old tires, barbeques, furniture, and yard clean-up material should be appropriately disposed of at the Crowsnest/Pincher Creek landfill. If you are unsure if the landfill is open when required, please contact them before driving out. Residents can reach them at 403 628-3849.

Please do your part to keep our community clean!!

Currently, the MD is actively redesigning this location for an eco-transfer station. This new area will be manned, gated, locked, and monitored for misuse. You can learn more about the plans on the Eco Site Development Page.
