Remembrance Day - MD Council

The MD of Pincher Creek Council and staff appreciates the continued efforts of the Pincher Creek Legion in celebrating our veterans, and current service men and women, for Remembrance Day.

This year has been a challenge due to COVID-19 and although we want to ensure our community and veterans know how important this day was to all of us, we respectfully chose to remain safe and celebrate in smaller venues or virtually.

November 11, at 11am, Reeve Hammond, Councillor Everts, Councillor Lemire and Councillor Yagos met at the MD Administration office to lower the flag and have a small ceremony of reflection and remember all those who fought for all that we now have the ability to celebrate. Councillor Stevick was in attendance at the outdoor ceremony in Twin Butte.

Thank you to our veterans and thank you to all active service men and women serving around the globe. The Pincher Creek Legion encourages people to donate online at www.poppyboxabnwt.com, use the drop box to Pincher Creek Branch #43 or text - Poppy4PC to 20222.
