The MD of Pincher Creek will be discontinuing the sale of pre-mix herbicides to residents, effective immediately. This change is being made to ensure our practices align with current provincial and federal legislation governing the sale and distribution of pesticides.
We recognize that this program has been a valued service and understand that its discontinuation may be inconvenient for some residents. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure our programs remain compliant with applicable regulations.
The MD is actively working with the Government of Alberta to develop a new program that we hope to implement next year. We look forward to providing additional information as it becomes available.
In the meantime, residents requiring Schedule 2 pesticides are encouraged to contact local agricultural retailers. Knowledgeable agronomists at Simplot and Co-op are available to assist with product selection and appropriate pesticide use.
If you have pre-paid for premix jugs, but have not yet picked them up, please contact us and we will issue a refund. Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we transition to a new approach.
