Enhanced Recycling (Starting October 1)

Big changes are coming to recycling in the Hamlets of Lundbreck and Beaver Mines.

Starting October 1, 2026, recycling will include curbside pickup as well, as part of a new provincewide program run by Circular Materials.

Here's what to expect:

??New 360-litre recycling carts will be delivered to every household in Lundbreck and Beaver Mines in September. Beaver Mines will receive wildlife resistant bins.
??Please don't use your cart until October 1.
??Curbside recycling will be picked up every two weeks on Thursdays.

The Eco Centre will also be transitioning to single-stream collection! This will allow residents to recycle more materials, such as glass containers, foam packaging, flexible and rigid plastics, cardboard and paper, and metal containers and packaging. More information on the centre will be available this summer.
