WATER RESTRICTION – NORMAL

Public Notice
WATER RESTRICTION – NORMAL
Water Shortage Response Plan

Due to significant recovery of water levels within the Oldman Reservoir and a normalizing early-season
snowpack, the MD of Pincher Creek (MD) is removing water restrictions effective immediately.
The MD was previously in Stage 1 restrictions starting July 14th, 2025. These restrictions ended on
December 16th, 2025. This impacts the Hamlets of Lundbreck and Beaver Mines, Castle Mountain
Resort, the Village of Cowley, and rural users on the MD’s regional system.

What you need to know:
• There are currently no restrictions on residential, commercial, or industrial water usage,
although the MD always recommends conscientious use of this valuable resource
• The MD’s revised Water Shortage Response Plan accounts for current demand (among other
factors) when assessing future water restriction stage requirements.
o Conserving water will help the MD avoid future restrictions.
