Canada Post Strike
Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, regular mail services have been disrupted, impacting the delivery of crucial municipal correspondence, including:

How to Stay Informed:
We understand the importance of staying informed, especially during this strike. We encourage residents and businesses to use the following methods, which have been carefully selected to ensure you can stay up-to-date:

Utility or Tax Notices: Contact the Utility or Taxation Clerk at 403-627-3130 to send an electronic copy of your bill or notice or arrange to pick one up at the MD office. Remember, you can always make payments in person at the municipal office or online through electronic banking.
A reminder that unpaid 2024 taxes face a 12% penalty on January 1, 2025. Reminders for accounts with a balance were mailed just before the strike, so they may not have reached the landowner. If you are unsure if you have a balance, please call the office or email the tax clerk at
adminfinclerk@mdpinchercreek.ab.ca.

Development Applications and Permits: Due to the postal strike, any notifications required for applications received by the Planning Department will be processed following Section 19 - Notice of Proposed Development from Land Use Bylaw 1349-23. Notifications may be hand delivered (in Hamlets) or published once in a newspaper circulating the municipal area.

Public Hearing Notices: All public hearing notifications will be posted on Facebook, the MD website and advertised in Shootin the Breeze. For more information, please contact the Development Officer at 403-627-3130 or AdminDevOfr@mdpinchercreek.ab.ca. There are currently no public hearings scheduled for the remainder of 2024.
