My name is Joh, and I am an operator for the MD of Pincher Creek. Winter is here again, which means its time to clear the roads and streets. As the season goes by, the snow piles higher, making new places for kids to play. As a child, I remember playing "King of the Castle" on the snow piles as well as digging holes, tunnels, and caverns or snow forts. These can be dangerous and even deadly.

There are limited places to put snow in any residential area, which means the next snowfall gets pushed into the same areas. These places which have become snow forts are now buried again.
I have four children of my own and could not imagine how I would feel for the rest of my life if one of them were buried alive. Please talk to your kids and be sure they know of the dangers.
