The Patton Park Society members attended a Council meeting in the early spring. The members reviewed the park society's history, accomplishments, and plans for upgrades at that meeting. The Society requested that a current gravel walking pathway connecting First Street to Patton Park be paved.

Public Works completed the paving of the walking path in the Summer. As shown in the photo, the path can now be biked or walked and is more accessible to everyone.

Council thanks the dedication of the citizens of Lundbreck and the Patton Park Society as we work together to beautify Hamlet for everyone to enjoy.
