Sunrise Solar Project Withdrawn

On October 30, 2024 the Municipal District of Pincher Creek administration received notice that the proposed Sunrise Solar Project GP Limited ("Sunrise") officially withdrew application from the Alberta Utilities Commission.  Subsequently, the substation and correlating transmission lines applications have also been withdrawn.  

 

Sunrise has stated that they do plan to submit new applications for the project when market conditions are more certain. 

 

The Sunrise Solar Project was a proposed solar development located NW of the Town of Pincher Creek, within the MD of Pincher Creek.
