With the current winter storm watch in effect for the Municipality, Public Works had a busy few days preparing equipment for this weather event. The Speed Plow is ready for action and 3 of the graders have been switched over and are ready to go.

This weekend the Municipality will have one operator on call, if and when the storm hits, he will begin his route. Once 1"- 2” are accumulated and he determines it is necessary, he will then call the remaining divisional operators. The crew is aware that they may be getting called in and are prepared. Both Public Works Manager and Assistant Manager will be monitoring the situation as well.

All equipment will operate until visibility is reduced or conditions become unsafe for them to be on the roads. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations so please be aware and plan accordingly. Stay safe and warm this weekend!
