PlayCleanGoWeek - Day 7

#PlayCleanGoWeek continues as the sun (and wind) return on Day #7!

Today we discuss keeping your animal companions free of #invasivespecies as they PlayCleanGo with you outdoors! Please share!

Our horses often carry us into amazing backcountry trails, and in the case of working ranches, help us to do our work. Horses have a lot of surface area to catch the seeds of invasive species - from their mane to their tail, and also in their tack and hooves. Cleaning all those areas as shown in this video from Wyoming's Weed & Pest Council is a vital habit - before you  head out to ride, and after you get back. Good brushes and hoof picks are essential PlayCleanGo tools to use on your horses.
Our dogs are our companions, friends, and part of our families. Again, on working ranches, they also help us do our work. Dogs, particularly those with longer hair, are like magnets for invasive species seeds. Brush them out before and after you work or play outside with your dogs- and remember to carefully check in their paws as well. Burrs may be softened with oil before removal, and PlayCleanGo Pet Combs and BurrPaws are also available

Thank you for helping your dogs and horses #PlayCleanGo, and for doing your part to prevent the introduction & spread of #invasivespecies here in Southern Alberta ðŸ˜Ž @PlayCleanGo #EnviroWeek @AlbertaInvasive
