There are several unique challenges that MD residents, Council, and staff confront, but working together can make a difference. With over 1000 kilometers of road to maintain, we may not always be aware of an area of concern and respect when residents contact us with situations that arise.

Earlier this Fall, MD staff was contacted by residents in the area of Cabin Hill regarding concerns on road conditions during the winter. In talking with local landowners and working with them, the MD installed a snow fence to mitigate some of the issues experienced during poor weather conditions.

Hearing from residents that live and drive those roads in all situations, the MD can facilitate a plan to resolve many of these concerns. If you have a route that could benefit from a snow fence, please contact the MD Public Works office at 403 627 3130 or email info@mdpinchercreek.ab.ca to discuss the concern with staff.
