Please Don't Trespass
To those visiting our MD and the beautiful South West region of Alberta, our MD is a mixture of ecological reserves, Provincial Parks, Provincial Recreation areas, wildland park, and privately owned lands. As a reminder to hikers and nature enthusiasts, please know where you are taking your next outdoor adventure and ensure you aren't trespassing. In simple terms, trespassing is when you enter private property without invitation.
When out for a drive, it may seem harmless to go through a fence or gate and take a walk. What you may not know is if there is livestock in that field, the damage that may be caused by your vehicle, and the lack of respect you are showing the landowner. Trespassing isn't only ignorant, it is illegal, and you could be charged with an offense. Please be kind to our lands, refrain from going where you don't belong, and don't leave destruction or garbage when you are visiting our beautiful region.
