Holiday Closure Information
MD offices will be closed starting Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Public Works: The Public Works supervision team will be on call during the closure. They will regularly monitor roads and be responsible for dispatching operator/plow drivers if we experience a snow event.
The only day no one will be working is Christmas Day, weather permitting, so our crews can enjoy the holiday with their families. Residents can contact Public Works by calling 403 627 3130 and selecting the prompt to reach the emergency line for Public Works.
Please note that during the holiday closure, the MD will not be sending out equipment to plow private driveways, and residents should contact a contractor as an alternative. The only exception to this would be in the event of an emergency.
Administration: 12% tax penalty comes into effect on January 1, 2026. Although the administration office is closed during the holiday period, the MD is payable at most financial institutions. Please check with your financial institutions to ensure they accept payment for it. When paying online, use the 7-digit roll number as your account number. If paying on multiple roll numbers, please pay each individually. Please note, the MD does NOT accept e-transfers.
Tax payments may be mailed, made in person, or put in our drop box: MD of Pincher Creek, Box 279 Pincher Creek Alberta T0K 1W0. Mailed payments must be date-stamped by Canada Post, January 1, 2026 or earlier, no exceptions. Please allow adequate time for mail pickup and delivery.
Postdated cheques are accepted. Please ensure the bottom portion of the notice accompanies payment.
