Gravelling Division 1 and 2

Gravel Hauling – Divisions 1 and 2

The MD’s re-gravel program is underway. This week, (June 2, 2025), crews will be in Division 1 at the Henegar Pit, hauling through Divisions 1 and 2.

Water trucks will be on-site to help control dust, particularly in front of residences near the road and at major intersections. However, there may be days when water trucks cannot keep pace due to anticipated hot and dry conditions and the limited availability of water, caused by low river flow and the inability to obtain temporary diversion licenses. Operators will make every effort to minimize dust wherever possible.

As with past re-gravelling seasons, we often receive requests for gravel on private driveways. If you require gravel, please ensure your request forms are submitted promptly.

For your awareness, we no longer authorize self-loading of gravel due to the following reasons:
*Liability concerns
*Lack of quantity control over our reserves
*Inaccurate volume tracking—The MD must conduct drone surveys following aggregate removal to ensure accurate government compliance and financial reporting records. Self-loading disrupts this process.

Forms can be submitted through the MD website (https://bit.ly/9gravel) or by visiting the administrative building and filling one out in person. Once crews move out of your division, we can no longer load and deliver gravel in your area.
