When hauling waste and debris to the landfill, it is essential that loads are properly secured with a tarp to prevent debris from littering the roads and to keep items from falling out and hurting someone. Let's all do our part to prevent the trash from ending up in our roadways and remember; littering on MD or Provincial roadways is an enforceable offence.

Some tips on safe ways to transport items to the landfill:

Effective September 1, 2020:

They are taking clean cardboard and clean tin cans.   Unfortunately, they still have no one to take glass.  They have continued to take regular products over the covid slow down,  large electronics,  paint, oil etc.As of September 1, 2020, the government has started a pilot project for recycling small electronics.  see attached

Effective August 1, 2020:
• All Residential and Farmland loads less than 2 tonnes be invoiced directly to the MD; and
• Residential and Farmland loads in excess of 2 tonnes be invoiced directly to the ratepayer at the time of delivery (including the initial 2 tonnes)
• Non-residential/Commercial loads are invoiced directly to the ratepayers at the time of delivery.

If you know you will be over 2 tonnes and don’t currently have an account with the landfill; please call ahead to arrange. 403.628.3849

Please tie or cover your load to prevent material from coming off.
